KING Basketball Fall 2018

KING Hoops

Overview / Instructions

“Little Dribblers” – In our Pre-K classes we will be getting your children introduced to the basic fundamentals of basketball. Offensively, we will teach them basics – how to hold, pass, and dribble the basketball, shooting form on a lowered hoop, and how to play defense. Your children will walk away with a basic understanding of the introductory skills to the game of basketball, all while having a ton of fun!

“King Hoops” – In our K-2 classes we will learn the foundational skills of basketball! We will teach them stationary ball handling drills to get them more comfortable with the ball, how to properly hold and shoot a basketball, and play small sided games to start re-enforcing our skills. The classes are taught in a non-competitive environment where the focus is learning, having fun, and becoming better athletes.

“King Hoops Intermediate” – In our 3rd through 5th grade classes we continue to practice the skills introduced in previous classes. We will introduce some skills competition as well as some 3-on3 and 5-on-5 drills to teach them about spacing, ball movement, and defensive rotations. We will be teaching dribbling while moving, refining the jump shot, as well as perfecting our defensive stance.
