Our team is pleased to be settled into a new co-working office space called ‘TheYard’ on the Upper West Side near Lincoln Center. TheYard has 5 locations around Manhattan and Brooklyn, and we share common area space, conference rooms, printers, etc with the rest of the start-up community on our floor. The move symbolizes the momentum Kids in the Game has seen in growing our programs all over the city, as well as specifically on the Upper West Side. We recently finished our first annual Upper West Side summer camp at School of the Blessed Sacrament and will be starting recess programs, after-school programs, and other sports camps and clinics in the neighborhood this fall.
Kids in the Game’s Co-Founder & CFO, Matt Murphy, commented on the new space, “We are thrilled to have a new home base for the team, a space that encourages collaboration, a community that encourages innovation, all within a neighborhood that loves our programs. With so many of our schools and programs in Upper Manhattan (Inwood, UES/UWS, Washington Heights, Harlem, Morningside Heights, etc) this location made a lot of sense for us. TheYard also allows us to work out of the other locations in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan, giving us an easy way to reach all of the schools and communities we serve.”
