SBS Enrichment Fall 2018-2019

September 17 - January 17

Overview / Instructions

Hello SBS Families! We’re looking forward to beginning our third year of Enrichment in the Fall, which will begin on September 17th. Please review the calendar and program descriptions carefully before registering. When you’re ready to register, click on the orange button and proceed through the checkout.

If you have 2 children in the same SBS After-School Program, you will be eligible for a 10% discount on most classes (*for exceptions, see class descriptions below). We will refund this amount back on your card once we see both children enrolled – no promo code is necessary.

Procedures & Reminders

Refund Policy: Within the first 2 full weeks of Enrichment classes, if you are not 100% satisfied with your class purchase, you may transfer your child into another class (fees may apply due to varied class costs). No refunds will be given after the second full week of Enrichment classes.

No Enrichment Classes on: 9/25, 9/28, 10/5, 10/8, 10/31, 11/2, 11/12, 11/19-11/23, 12/7, 12/24,-1/4, 1/18.  These closings are based on school holiday closings and other school events/occasions.

Canceled Classes: Should an Enrichment class date be cancelled by the instructor, a make-up class will be held during the week of January 22nd at the request of the program director of that class. No make up classes will be held for snow-days or other inclement weather closings.

After-School Procedures: PreK3 students must be picked up by a caregiver and brought to class. PreK4 students are picked up from their daytime classes by their Enrichment teachers. K-2nd grade students are brought to the KING room by their daytime teachers while awaiting their Enrichment teachers’ arrival. 3rd-8th grade students go directly to After-Care or Homework Club from their daytime class, and a KING staff member collects them and escorts them to Enrichment class.

Pick-Up Procedures: Please list any adults that are authorized to pick up your child from school or enrichment class. At dismissal, Enrichment teachers will bring students to the main entrance of the school to be picked up by their parents/guardians. Shortly after the class dismisses from the front door, any children remaining will be brought to the school’s designated After-Care rooms (charges may apply). PreK4-1st grade After-Care: Room 202. 2nd-8th grade After-Care: Library. PreK3 students still in the classroom after pick up will be brought to the school’s main office and the parents will be contacted.

Closed door policy: During class, it is asked that parents, guardians, siblings, and other friends and family remain outside the school/classroom unless otherwise instructed by the teacher of the class. While it is always a pleasure to see everyone, the excitement can distract the students and divert attention from the instructor.

Reminders:

If participating in an active Enrichment class, please be sure to pack a change of clothes appropriate for the activity. PreK students: KING staff members and Enrichment providers help change into activewear before class begins. K-2nd grade students: Utilize hall bathrooms outside KING room to change. 3rd-8th students: Change prior to class.

Children may only be released to parents/guardians listed on the “Child Pick-Up and Release Liability form”. These can be updated at any point in the session by the parent/guardian of the child. Please email sheryl@kidsinthegame.com with this information, and it will be forwarded to the instructor and staff members.

K-2nd grade students waiting in the KING room are allowed to eat a snack if packed from home. If you’d like your child to have a snack at this time, please be sure to pack one each day as KING will not have any to offer.
