The Kids in the Game internship program provides real world learning opportunities for students interested in gaining further experience in marketing, coaching, program development, finance and youth development.

We are currently looking to bring on an Intern to support our CEO in managing their schedule and supporting in general office operations! This position provides critical, day-to-day administrative support for an executive including – but not limited to – calendar management, office management, creating & updating documents, supporting with presentations, and communicating with a host of internal colleagues & external partners. The position resides within a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, juggling and managing a number of tasks are critical to success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is process oriented and wants to grow into a full-fledged Executive Assistant.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Calendar management
  • Order office supplies
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to provide resolution of administrative issues to avoid delaying in achieving project goals
  • Prepare written materials as requested, i.e. memos, meeting agendas, powerpoints
  • Student pursuing a major in Business, Management, Marketing/ Communications or graduate looking to gain an educational experience
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Possess and exhibit a strong and genuine interest in working with people and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work directly with company leadership team to develop strategic business cases and industry analysis to drive company growth and expansion projects
  • Help analyze company metrics and prepare financial statements, profitability analyses, product penetration and pipeline reporting
  • Make recommendations around investment initiative priorities
  • Build budgets and forecast spending by working with team leaders and analyzing financials
  • Maintain target client lists and draft outreach campaigns and support development team in pursuing leads and partnerships
  • Create client facing marketing materials for KING programs
  • Engage in presentations with potential schools and partners interested in KING programs
  • Plan community events to engage families that may be interested in KING programs, clinics, and camps
  • Develop and manage projects related to social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Medium, etc
  • Visit existing programs to take photographs, videos, etc for creative marketing materials
  • Assist with backend registration and payments for school programs and camp
  • Send email blasts to families and schools about upcoming events and programs

Work with KING Program Managers and Program Coordinators to design and implement programs for new and existing schools. This would include:

  • Design curriculum for specific school populations, as well as monitoring & evaluation tools to track program success and impact
  • Working with contacts at the schools to coordinate schedules, communicate progress and explore future programs and partnerships
  • Spend time coaching / teaching sports, music, and/or dance programs at NYC schools
