Physical Education, After-School
Kids in the Game joined AltSchool in the Fall of 2015 and has fostered a great partnership to bring the children of this micro-school a dynamic physical education curriculum. As a school without a gym space, the teachers and leaders at AltSchool have worked creatively with the KinG team to offer a customized fitness and movement program for Pre-K through 3rd grades.
Afterschool Programming, Sports Clinics, Field Day
This network of six Catholic schools known as the Partnership Network, has been calling on Kids in the Game to provide afterschool fitness and sports for nearly a decade. In recent years the bond has grown to build a network wide field day, uniting all six schools on Randall’s Island for a day of school spirit and network-wide-pride.
The Cooke Center for Learning and Development is a well established provider of special education services in New York City. For over a decade Kids in the Game has had the pleasure of bringing adaptive physical education classes to Cooke. Providing a well-developed and inclusive physical fitness program is an important part of development for the students of Cooke Center.
Recess, Afterschool Programming, Field Day
P.S. 10 is a well-established public school in Park Slope that Kids in the Game had the pleasure of joining in the Fall of 2014. With a great school yard for activities and a large student population, KinG has helped to organize that space during the chaotic time of recess. The two have also teamed up to provide the students and families of P.S. 10 with a spirited field day, bringing about camaraderie through friendly competition and class pride.
Summer & Break Camps, Afterschool Programming, Middle School Sports Teams
The School of Blessed Sacrament and Kids in the Game have built a partnership that brings one of the City’s most affordable and fun Summer day camps to the youth on the West Side of Manhattan. A partnership that started with KinG coaches coordinating recess has expanded to coaching The Saint’s middle school CYO basketball team, providing afterschool sports and movement programming, and running all-inclusive camps throughout the year.
